Data-driven agriculture

How can data and artificial intelligence be used to support agriculture and make it more resilient in times of climate change? For an early-stage startup, I developed a concept for a tablet app that combines publicly available data (e.g. geodata, climate data) with IoT sensors and machines. In viticulture, for example, the vegetation cycle of vineyards can be individually monitored and recommendations for irrigation, fertilization, plant protection and other parameters can be given.

My role

As a UX researcher and designer, I was involved in the exploration of the product idea and the creation of an MVP. I designed - considering the context of use for farmers - a mobile tablet app that reflects the product vision. I also developed an appealing visual UI design.
